Rajasthan Desert Tour
                                                                    Itinerary

Day 1 : Delhi
Arrive Delhi.  You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Overnight will be in your
hotel in Delhi.

Day 2 : Delhi - Agra
This morning we will drive to Agra en route visiting Akbar’s mausoleum at Sikandra and the deserted
city of Fatehpur Sikri. On arrival you will be taken to your hotel for check in. Later, we will proceed
to the incomparable Taj Mahal which was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan in 1630 for his
queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains.  We will also visit Agra Fort where the Pearl
Mosque is located. At the Diwan-I-Khas or Hall of Private Audience the Emperor sat on his gem-
studded peacock throne and met foreign ambassadors and rulers of friendly kingdoms. Finally, we
will visit Itmad-up-Dau’s tomb which was built by Noor Jehan in memory of her father. Overnight
will be in our hotel in Agra.

Day 3 : Agra - Jaipur
After breakfast we will drive to Jaipur.  On arrival we will be taken to our hotel.  Evening is free to
spend as you wish.  Overnight stay in our hotel in Jaipur.

Day 4 : Jaipur
Today you will be driven to Amer Fort where you can ride an elephant to the top, if you wish. After
this, you will be taken on a sightseeing tour of The Pink City as Jaipur is often called. You can
witness awesome sights of the Jantar Mantar, the City Palace and Hawa Mahal. Overnight stay is in
our hotel in Jaipur.

Day 5: Jaipur - Ajmer - Pushkar
Today we will move to Ajmer. At Ajmer, first , you will check in at your hotel, and later, visit the
Dargah of the Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. You will also visit the picturesque Pushkar Lake
and Temples there, which include the lone Brahma temple in the world. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 6:  Pushkar - Udaipur
We drive to Udaipur today.  Upon arrival we will be  taken to our hotel. Evening is free to spend at
your leisure.  Overnight will be in our hotel in Udaipur.

Day 7: Udaipur
Morning sightseeing tour of Udaipur. The city was built in 1559 A.D. by Maharaja Udai Singh and
has been described as the most romantic spot on the continent of India. We will visit the City Palace
museum, the Jagdish temple, Sahelion Ki Bari, Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir ( Folk Art Museum) and
the Pratap Memorial. Rest of the day is free to spend as you wish. Overnight will be in our hotel in
Udaipur.

Day 8: Udaipur - Jodhpur
Early this morning, we will drive to "The Blue City" of Jodhpur stopping along the way to visit the
Ranakpur temples. On arrival in Jodhpur, you will check in at your hotel.  In the evening, we will
wander through  Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, the beautiful Mandore garden and the grand
Umaid Bhawan Palace. Overnight is at your hotel in Jodhpur.

Day 9: Jodhpur - Jaisalmer
A morning drive takes us to Jaisalmer,  After checking in to our hotel, the rest of the day and evening
are free for you to spend at your leisure. Overnight will be in our hotel in Jaisalmer.

Day 10: Jaisalmer
We wake up early to view the city as the sun rises.  Jaisalmer has been given the name "The Golden
City" and we can see why.   After breakfast, a walking tour of Jaisalmer is scheduled. The origins of
Jaisalmer go back to the 12th century when Rawal Jaisal abandoned his old fort at Ludarwa and laid
the foundation for a new city in Jaisalmer. Visit the magnificent fort, the Patwon Ki Haveli, and Salim
Singh Ki Haveli with its intricately carved balconies and brackets which are supreme examples of the
art. An evening camel ride in the Sam Dunes is a wonderful way to end the day. Overnight will be in
our hotel in Jaisalmer.

Day 11: Jaisalmer - Bikaner
Morning drive to Bikaner which was a major trade center on the caravan route from Africa and West
Asia.  Bikaner is surrounded by imposing walls and has a 16th century fort housing old palaces,
temples and a mosque. We will also visit Lallgarh Palace, Bhanda Sagar Jain and Deshnoke Rat
temple. Overnight will be spent in our hotel in Bikaner.

Day 12: Bikaner - Mandawa
Morning drive to Mandawa. Mandawa was founded 1755 by Thakur Nawal Singh and is still the
home of his descendants and is famous for the beautiful frescoes, havelis and mansions. Mandawa
castle is one of the finest castles of Rajasthan and is now a hotel and houses a collection of armories,
costumes, canons from 1820, ancient coins, a numismatic collection and many other interesting
items.  Overnight will be spent in our hotel in Mandawa.

Day 13: Mandawa - Delhi
This morning we return to Delhi and check-in to our hotel. Evening is free to spend as you wish.  
Overnight will be in our hotel in Delhi.

Day 14:  Delhi
After breakfast, we will proceed for a sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi.  Later, you will be
taken to the station or airport for your onward journey.  Tour ends.
